We will strictly comply with the laws and regulations and take the best protection when dealing with your personal information security. Based on this, Zhipu (or "we") formulated this "Z Code Privacy Policy" (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") to help you fully understand in the process of your use of our products and services, how we will handle and protect your personal information and how you can manage your personal information, so that you can make informed choices.

Z Code: refers to the AI-based coding assistant product provided by Zhipu.
Zhipu: refers to the provider of Z Code, Beijing Zhipu Huazhang Technology Co., LTD also referred to as “we” or “us” in this policy.
Personal information: Personal information refers to all kind of information, recorded electronically or otherwise, related to an identified or identifiable natural person, excluding anonymized information.
Sensitive personal information: sensitive personal information is personal information that would easily lead to harm to natural person’s dignity, or endanger one’s physical and property safety once leaked or illegal used. Including biometric information, religious beliefs, specific identity, health, financial account, track information, as well as the personal information of children. We will significantly identify specific sensitive personal information in bold in this Policy.
Personal information deletion: refers to the behavior of removing personal information in the system involved in the realization of daily business functions, so that it cannot be retrieved and accessed.
Children: refers to a minor under a certain age provided by his/her local law, e.g. 13 in U.S. and 14 in PRC.
(2) Scope of application
This Policy applies to the products and services of Z Code and the new forms emerging with the development of its technology. If Z Code products or services are used in our products or services, but there is no independent privacy policy, this Policy also applies to this part of the products or services. If we have a separate privacy policy for the products or services provided, the separate privacy policy shall apply.
II. Personal information we collect
The specific functional scenarios that we need your personal information include:

We will provide service based on your Z Code account. In order to create a Z Code account, you need to provide your e-mail address/phone number to us. If you refuse to provide the above information, you will not be able to register a Z Code account and have access to our products and services.

(2) Provide you with the code/dialogue generation service
You can voluntarily use Z Code to provide us with your code/conversations and other personal information and use Z Code to generate code/dialogues. Please note that whether you provide any personal information and the subject of the personal information is entirely up to you. We do not recommend that you provide any sensitive personal information or other personal information that may affect your legitimate rights and interests, and you shall not provide personal information of others without proper authorization.
(3) Customer service and dispute settlement
When you contact us or apply for dispute settlement, to secure your account and system, we need you to provide the necessary personal information to verify your identity.
In order to facilitate your contact, help you solve the problem or record the handling plan and results of related problems as soon as possible, we will keep your communication, call records and related contents.
(4) Other rules for the collection and use of personal information

(2) Delete your information;
(3) Change the scope of your authorized consent;
(4) Terminate your account;
(5) Other rights provided by relevant laws.
2. Responding to your above request
To ensure the security of your account, when you request us the above, we may ask you to verify your identity.
We will respond to your above request within 15 days. If you do not agree with our response, you may contact us to appeal.
For your reasonable request, we do not charge fees in principle, but for repeated requests beyond the reasonable limit, we will charge a certain fee as appropriate. We may refuse your request if such request is (1) in violation of the relevant legal requirements; (2) repeated for no reasonable causes; (3) unrealistic under given circumstance (4) brings risk to legitimate rights and interests of others.
VII. Oversea users
You hereby agree that your personal information be collected, stored and processed outside of your country or territory.
We will apply appropriate safeguards for transferring personal information outside of your country or territory. We will only transfer personal

VIII. Children
We are never intended to collect personal information of Children. You need to be above your local legal standard of children to use Z Code, where your local law has no provision, you should be above the age of 14. If you are beyond such age but not yet legally an adult, you should acquire consent of your guardian to use Z Code. If you do not meet the above requirements, you should promptly stop registering or using and inform us to delete your personal information.
IX. Update of this Policy
Our services and technologies are constantly updated and optimized with the needs of you and other users, so as new services and business process changes, we may update our privacy policy to inform you of specific changes. However, without your express consent, we will not restrict your rights under this Policy.For major changes, we will also provide more significant notifications (including our notification or a popup prompt to you through Z Code announcements).
